song info

“Giant Steps” by Tommy Flanagan Trio is a jazz song.
Tommy Flanagan obtains redemption. In the original recording he started and stopped during the piano solo, unsure of what to play. Critics claimed “the song owned him”. But the alternative pianist, Cedar Walton, didn’t even try a solo and played the song much slower in an alternative take. In this recording, Tommy Flanagan finally owned the song.
