    Summary quotation from Wikipedia:

“Lips Are Movin” is a song performed by American recording artist Meghan Trainor for her third studio album Title (2015). It was released on October 21, 2014, by Epic Records as the second single from the record. It was written and produced by Kevin Kadish, with additional songwriting provided by Trainor. “Lips Are Movin” is a pop and ’50s/’60s influenced doo-wop song which lyrically finds Trainor abandoning her boyfriend after she discovers he is cheating on her.

Background and composition

“Lips Are Movin” was first offered as a “first listen” by Shazam on October 14, 2014, and premiered the day after on MTV’s website. It was sent to contemporary hit radio on October 21, 2014. However, some radio stations were already playing it after its debut. According to Mediabase, the song garnered adds from three monitored stations on October 15, 2014. Included in that list were KIIS-FM, KISS-FM, and XL FM.

Musically, “Lips Are Movin” is a pop, 50s/60s influenced doo-wop and a blue-eyed soul song which lyrically finds Trainor abandoning her boyfriend after she discovers he is cheating on her, while she sings “I know you lie because your lips are movin/ Tell me do you think I’m dumb?/ I might be young, but I ain’t stupid/ Talking circles with your tongue”. The track was described by critics as having a similar feel to Trainor’s previous single, “All About That Bass” as she raps, “Boy, look at me in my face/ Tell me that you’re not just about this bass/ You really think I could be replaced/ Nah, I come from outer space”. Kevin Kadish has said that he and Trainor wrote the song in only eight minutes.
