    The Four Freshmen featured four voices in innovative harmonies. The Four Freshmen’s “Four Freshmen and Five Trombones” transformed the concept of the vocal group and influenced the sound of the Beach Boys, Jan and Dean, and others.

    Voted Best Jazz Vocal Group of 1953.
