biography

American Sass artist Hanife lassos Ennio Morricone’s Old West with a sexy camouflage strap and generates a fresh sound of pop-tart rock ’n roll.

Not your run-of-the-mill singer/songwriter, Hanife picked up electric guitar and bass while pursuing a music degree from Stanford University (class ’01). With her classical training, Hanife takes Skynyrd blues and raw Kravitz guitar into distinctively hip-shaking realms.

Critic/producer Rogers Masson of LA Music Productions (Knitting Factory Convention, March 2003) describes Hanife’s Freedom Rock as pure “ear candy.” Her new single is airing on TOP 40/HOT AC commercial radio under Howard Rosen Promotion.

Featured on numerous radio shows, Hanife has a growing fan base grounded by her interviews with voice of America and KSCO radio, where Hanife performed a live show for Rosemary’s Good Morning Monterey Bay.
