lead singer for Fib
Laura has had a very varied musical career so far…
A singer with girl group Bellacappella, Laura’s songs have been performed on BBC national radio and in venues all over the world, including the Royal Festival Hall in London where Bellacappella supported the Chieftains and Ralph McTell. They have also sung for Billy Joel.
Currently she is writing songs for various AOR and country artists, as well as singing with and writing for pop rock outfit “Fib”, a very recent formation produced by Kenny Jones (Chaka Khan, Dido, Natalie Imbruglia) and great things are already in the pipeline, starting with being chosen by BBC Radio 1’s prestigious Onemusic site for unsigned bands.
“Get Over Yourself” was forwarded in the Tonos Signed Female Artist Opp, “Caveman” was chosen for the Tonos Paia Pictures Opp and “Battlescarred” was runner up in the UK Songwriting Competition 2002.
Laura is the fourth cousin of the composer Gustav Mahler. (Unfortunately he has been dead for a long time so has no contacts she can take advantage of.)
